Nuneaton Walks: The Black Track

Running from Chapel End to Stockingford, the Black Track is another disused railway line acting as a fabulous countryside walk without leaving Nuneaton itself. Along the way are fields, brooks, and woods - perfect for a weekend dog walk with the family.

Starting on Beverley Avenue, just across the train line from the Kingswood Tavern, the Black Track takes you through the back of Stockingford all the way to Chapel End. It’s one of those tracks that you can’t get lost on and, while popular with dog walkers, I have never come across more than two or three people on my walks here. There are a variety of different tracks through the woods where you can cross gorgeous little bridges while the dogs chase squirrels or play in the stream. These tracks wind back to the main route too.

Once you get past the main residential area, the track runs alongside an expansive group of fields providing plenty of space for your dogs to stretch their legs. WIth hedges, a spring, hills, and long grass this really is dog walking heaven, right here in Nuneaton! I thoroughly recommend this area for walking your dog - you won’t be disappointed!
